WHAT AN AMAZING RIDE IT'S BEEN! From pre-pro to production to post and then to see THE FOREVER WOODS go on to be an Official Selection in over 16 Film Festivals around the world. And then to receive awards in every category is a dream come true! Just a partial list of the film festivals that the short film has been welcomed into is incredible; Budapest, New York, LA, Ibiza, Hollywood, New Jersey, Georgia, Tennessee and more. It's truly a testament to all of the cast and crew for putting their hard work and creative energies into this effort. So great!! I haven't posted as much news lately and it's because I've been crazy busy amping up the whole experience and going to the next level...

I'm pitching the concept everywhere and getting terrific response. Really gratifying to see people getting behind a project with a strong female lead!

In addition, I'm very excited to have a bonding company who is willing to finance the sizable tax credit that is available to THE FOREVER WOODS since we'll be shooting in GA.
Did I mention that it's a $650K tax credit that's available on a $2.4M budget???

OFFICIAL SELECTIONS/PRESS
First of all. sincere apologies for not posting more current updates! It has been way too long since I last posted news. It's been a crazy busy time period and has been harder and harder to keep up.
The good news is that The Forever Woods train keeps moving forward and being recognized in so many places around the world! BUCHAREST, PENNSYLVANIA, NEW JERSEY, TENNESSEE and GEORGIA comes fantastic responses and good vibes. It was an OFFICIAL WINNER at the Southern Shorts Festival and better yet, the film received awards for people in front and behind the camera! Both Nelson Bonilla - who is currently killing it with recurring roles on network TV series - and Kate Jamilkowski (see photo below - tiny hearts, tiny hearts) won for best Male and Female actor. Other awards for excellence were in Direction, Cinematography, Editing, Music, Prodution and Sound Design. Congratulations to all the brilliant people who were recognized!!!
I recently gave an interview with Oz Magazine, a film industry trade publication. Zachary Vaudo could not have been a nicer person and indulged some of my thoughts about the movie. He even included my shout out to Marvel Studios as well. Think it came out well, don't you?
Ah, Long Island! Home of Billy Joel, the Baldwin Brothers and now The Forever Woods! So happy that THE FOREVER WOODS will be seen in my old neighborhood. I grew up in Amityville Long Island and while I like to say it was very similar to the movie The Amityville Horror, it was really a great place to live and grow up - though the commuting will always suck! We're now an Official Selection in the Long Island International Film Expo! This 20-year-old film festival has been voted one of the top 25 Coolest Festivals in the US and one of the top 10 Hottest Summer Film Festivals. Thanks for having us!!!
THE FOREVER WOODS keeps moving forward with a new Official Selection! The 4th annual Milledgeville Film Festival will showcase filmmaking talents from more than 30 countries over five days. Located in the heart of central Georgia, the Milledgeville Film Festival sets itself apart by creating an intimate atmosphere between other filmmakers and industry professionals, fostering unique and worthwhile networking opportunities you’re unlikely to receive anywhere else. Happening from April 26 - 30, this will be the fourth year for the festival. Couldn't happen to a nicer short!

Hollywood Just4Shorts Showcase collection is curated to display some of the strongest new voices in the independent online filmmaking community. And the MAC Underground Film Festival, now in it's fourth year, will bring an amazing selection of short and feature films to the heart of the Amazon jungle. The festival's main goal is to bring the best of independent and underground filmmaking to the Amazon and also to promote the exchange of information and knowledge between filmmakers. MAC 2017 will take place at the historic Gebbes Medeiros theater, located in downtown Manaus (and near the famed Amazon Theater). Very exciting!
We're now up to six official selections and one winner and can't be happier! Will post more information as it comes in.
